Donald "Monk" Watson, a vaudeville performer, acrobat, magician, radio personality, musician and emcee, started the great Bob Hope and toured with Elsie Janis. Monk served on 5 fronts during World War 1 and got the nick name from jumping in and out of foxholes fast like a monkey. Monk also worked with Ben Kubelsk who later became known as Jack Benny. While in France he wrote his book “The Professional Touch”.
